Though the Tassimo Single-Serve Brewer can make tea and hot chocolate, it is best known as a coffee maker. Brands such as Gevalia, Maxwell House, Starbucks and Nabob all offer their own lines of Tassimo T-Discs which means you have a huge selection available to you when buying coffee. Let's break it down by brand.
Nabob Tassimo T-Discs
Nabob offers a great range of T-discs for coffee. There are the classic choices of either Breakfast Blend or a simple 100% Colombian. For something a little bolder, they have a darker Espresso disc as well.
They also have several varieties that come packaged with extra milk discs, to make either a foamy latte or a creamy cappuccino. The latte discs also come in a low-fat version if you are watching your calories. If you like flavored coffee, try the sweet French vanilla T-discs.
Starbucks Tassimo T-Discs (Discontinued)
Now you can brew your own Starbucks brand coffee at home. Their Breakfast Blend discs are a lighter roast and make a good cup of coffee any time of the day, and they also have Caffe Verona and Africa Kitamu blends which are both a much bolder cup.
Starbucks also takes advantage of the creamer T-discs and has a Latte Primo that combines a rich espresso roast and a creamer disc to make a latte.
Maxwell House Tassimo T-Discs
Maxwell House is a well-known name in the home brewing world, and you have several types of coffee to choose from with their discs. Their House Blend, Morning Blend and French Roast are all great coffees that offer slightly different variations on the classic coffee. For some flavor, they also carry a French vanilla disc. Their House Blend also comes in decaf.
For more sophisticated drinks, they have a cappuccino pack that comes with added cream discs and an elegant caramel latte macchiato.
Gevalia Tassimo T-Discs
You may think of chocolate when you think of Gevalia but they do have some very fine coffee choices as well. Their Dark House and Dark Italian blends are both very bold coffees, but the Signature Blend is a little lighter roast. They also carry a Morning Roast.
Flavored coffees come in a few varieties such as Swiss hazelnut and French vanilla.
Gevalia has even gone so far as to formulate a couple of blends specifically for use over ice, Black iced coffee and Sweet and Creamy iced coffee. That's definitely something new.
The Gevalia line also includes a latte, cappuccino and caramel latte macchiato that include those important milk discs too. There is a skinny version and a decaf version of the cappuccino discs too.
Mastro Lorenzo Tassimo T-Discs
This is another great coffee line that is a little less well-known than the others. They offer a very deep dark espresso disc, and a lighter Crema blend that brews up with that classic foam layer without any added cream.
This list is quite long and varied, and yet doesn't actually include every possible Coffee Tassimo T-Discs out there. Jacobs, Kenco and Carte Noire are a few other brands that offer more options for dark and light roasts and well as more latte choices.
