T-Discs are specially crafted single serving pods that are made to be used with the TASSIMO Home Brewing System. Each pod contains a premeasured amount of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, espresso, or milk. The concentrated milk used for T-Discs is shelf stable, and therefore does not need to be refrigerated.
The TASSIMO T-Discs are used to create a variety of hot beverages including coffee, tea, cappuccinos, lattes, and hot chocolate. T-Discs are exclusively designed for TASSIMO brewers to ensure that high quality drinks are made at the press of a button.
Each T-Disc comes complete with a bar code that contains instructions for the TASSIMO on-board computer system. These bar codes alert the machine of the optimal brew time, amount of water, and water temperature for the specific beverage associated with the given bar code. These bar codes guarantee that the beverage is perfect each time.
Currently, there are about 40 varieties of T-Discs available, with more varieties soon to be released. T-Discs typically range from about $.50 to $2 depending on the company and type of T-Disc.
