One of the great features about brewing with the Tassimo Coffee Maker is that you can make fresh tea just as easily as you make coffee. Your selection of teas is quite extensive and you should be able to find just the right Tassimo Tea T-disc to suit your tastes. Tassimo has partnered up with well-known tea company Twinings, so you know the tea will be top quality in taste and freshness. There is also a line of Tassimo T-discs made by Tazo for more variety.
For the bolder taste of a black tea, you have a few choices with either Twinings or Tazo. Tazo's Awake black tea is a strongly flavored tea without being too overpowering. It blends very nicely with either milk or sugar (or both), and can also be used when making a glass of iced tea. From Twinings, you can choose either the traditional Orange Pekoe, or the lightly citrus-flavored Earl Grey. Don't confuse the two either. The Orange Pekoe is actually a plain black tea, and the Earl Grey is the one that has the orange flavor.
You can also get English Breakfast blend, which is another strong variety of black tea with very light floral tones. It goes well with milk and though customary for breakfast, you can enjoy it any time you want.
For something a little lighter in taste, you can also use your Tassimo to make excellent green tea. Twinings has one variety of green tea that has a very fresh flavor for any time of the day.
Even chai tea isn't out of reach for Tassimo. Twinings Chai tea latte is an amazing drink, spiced up with cloves, ginger and cinnamon as well as rich black tea. You can brew this one on it's own for spicy tea, or with a second milk disc to make a truly creamy latte. The chai tea T-discs are packaged together with equal numbers of milk discs so you won't need to worry about locating those separately. Of course, you could add a milk disc to a regular cup of black to tea to make your own latte, even without the spice of the chai.

When brewing tea with the Tassimo Brewbot, you follow the same process as you would when making regular coffee. The machine will read the code on the tea T-disc and adjust all the brewing settings for tea rather than coffee. Even if you've just recently made a few cups of coffee, the taste won't transfer and your cup of tea will just taste like tea.
You also have an herbal tea available from Twinings as well, for those tea times when you'd rather have no caffeine (yes, green tea does have some caffeine in it). It's called Infusions tea, and is a blend of chamomile, orange and linden for a citrus and sweet tasting tea.
Other than the herbal Infusions, Tassimo doesn't currently carry any decaffeinated tea blends but as the popularity of the brewing system grows, there will no doubt be more options in the near future.
